Special Credit Officer (Spanish Wells)

Major Responsibilities:

The candidate will perform debt collection services in a professional manner. The incumbent must fully comply with the Bank’s Security Policies as outlined in its Security Policy Manual and the Bank’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. In addition, the position holder is required to uphold the Bank’s Customer Service Standards and Code of Ethics at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for the continual solicitation of new customers and cross selling of all services at every opportunity.

  2. Responsible for obtaining at least (30) contacts per day on delinquent customers.(A contact is when the officer has spoken to the delinquent customer in an effort to bring the account up to date.)

  3. Responsible for assisting customers on delinquency notices, queries, deduction refund, salary refund and any other information.


JOB DUTIES

  1. Responsible for preparing extension forms and ensuring they are fully documented andare recorded in the Extension Log.

  2. Responsible for researching accounts (e.g. ILA, CLA, RGs, SAV).

  3. Responsible for maintaining and setting up automatic transfer and implementing Deductions and Wage Assignments on delinquent accounts.

  4. Responsible for preparing accounts for chasing

  5. Responsible for taking loan applications on delinquent customers to prepare restructures rewrites, to restore their credit worthiness, if applicable.

  6. Responsible for ensuring the deposit accounts of delinquent customers are flagged.

  7. Responsible for typing cancellations and deductions on delinquent accounts when necessary (e.g. old deduction still in place or increase in payment due to paying of auto insurance).

  8. Responsible for preparing documents for Insurance Claim Cheques (e.g. Fire & Hurricane, Death and Auto Claim).

  9. Responsible for updating CIF in Fiserv and VQN ensuring accurate Start Date and Profession Codes fields are properly documented once we identify delinquent customers who are either no longer employed or have obtained new employment elsewhere.

  10. Responsible for documenting all Results in VQN before and after Daily Campaigns are run.

  11. Responsible for preparing Daily Source Comments Reports in VQN each day and passing it in to your Supervisor

  12. Responsible for preparing accounts for Small Claim and Legal Actions.

  13. Responsible for skip chasing (e.g. seeking other avenues of finding their whereabouts).

  14. Effectively assist with other duties in the Department daily, to ensure proper completion before leaving for the day.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 5 B.G.C.S.E.'s with C and above, including Mathematics and English
